• Study Tour of Latin-American
parliamentarians from Argentina, Perú and
México to Bogotá, Colombia. This study
tour will take place on 19-21 November 2003, and
will include visits to PROFAMILIA’s and UNFPA’s
sexual and reproductive health programmes, with
a special focus on emergency contraception and youth
programmes.
• Advocacy Workshop on Emergency Contraception in
La Paz, Bolivia. November 2003 (to be confirmed).
• Caribbean
Parliamentarians Meeting on HIV/AIDS, to be held
in Trinidad & Tobago, in February
2004. This meeting is jointly organized by the IAPG
and the UNFPA Office for the English and Dutch Speaking
Caribbean. It will count with the participation
of twenty parliamentarians from ten countries of
the Caribbean region, as well as national HIV/AIDS
commission representatives, civil society, and international
organizations. This meeting will provide an opportunity
to promote dialogue and raise awareness on the issue
of HIV/AIDS among parliamentarians from the Caribbean.
